Your Session

Every one of my massages is designed around your specific needs and goals. I combine techniques from a few different modalities and combine them into a treatment that is custom made for you. No cookie cutter massages here!

Before each session we will discuss what you would like to accomplish during that session, and that will not cut in to your massage time. An hour long session is really 60 minutes long! I set aside well over 60 minutes for each session to make sure that we have enough time to discuss your goals before every treatment.

That said, I do have a lateness and cancellation policy:

  • If I start a session late (hasn’t happened yet, but you never know), I will add the time to the end of the session if possible, or will reduce my fee accordingly. If you, the client, arrives late, your session will end at the originally scheduled time so that the client following you is not penalized.

  • Please let me know at least 24 hours in advance if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment. Should you decide to cancel more than 24 hours in advance, I will be more than happy to reschedule your appointment at no charge. However, less than 24 hour notice will incur a 50% charge of the service; no notice will result in 100% charge for the amount of the service. This applies for appointments made the same day as well. (If you can find someone to take your spot there will be no charge.)

You are welcome to bring your own lotion/oil if you have something fancy you’d like to use. Feel free to bring your own music as well! I have a CD player with an iPod dock (with the old larger plug) and a bluetooth speaker. I also use Spotify and can put on anything you’d like through there as well.

Once we’ve gotten started, please let me know at any point if I need to adjust my pressure, or if you get too cold or too warm. This is your time and I’d like you to be as comfortable as possible. Remember that when it comes to pressure, BAD PAIN IS BAD! (As opposed to that “hurts so good” kind of pain- you know the difference.) Your body is not going to experience bad pain and think, “boy, this is sure therapeutic”. If at any time during the session you feel like the pressure is too much, please let me know. I don’t want to hear after the session, “well, it hurt, but I needed it”. No one needs pain, especially during a massage.

And that’s it! Get in touch if you have any other questions (or check out my FAQ page), and I’ll see you at your appointment!
